Make a brush and apply any glass texture over it. Right click on it and turn it into an entity. Select the func_breakable entity. This will make the glass breakable. Now turn the render mode of the entity to additive and change its fx amount to 100. This will make the glass semi transparent. Experiment with the fx amount values to get the proper results.
